Smokey Bear Birthday Party at the Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center

Join us with your whole family as we celebrate Smokey’s 75th birthday with activities for all ages!

• Climb the stairs of an historic fire lookout to hear a former lookout describe his experiences and responsibilities.
• Watch a short video of an active fire lookout as he interacts with visitors to his site.
• Play a variety of games.
• Hug Smokey and sing happy birthday to him as you enjoy a slice of cake.
• Listen to his story and learn the Smokey song.
• Interact with wildland firefighters and their fire gear, tools and engines.
• Participate in activities that will help you understand the relationship between wildfire and our forests. And receive small gifts from Smokey as you participate at different stations.
