Tournament of Roses Parade

Since 1890, the Tournament of Roses Parade has produced America’s New Year Celebration, bringing the traditions of the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game to Pasadena and the world for over 130 years.

This year, Smokey and his friends at the National Association of State Foresters, the USDA Forest Service, and the Ad Council will ride alongside an elite equestrian team in the 135th Rose Parade on January 1st.

Additionally, on January 1st and 2nd, Smokey will be participating in Floatfest, which provides viewers the opportunity to learn even more about Smokey’s 80-year fire prevention legacy and walk within feet of the floral and animated masterpieces parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena. Come rain or shine, take a closer look at the design and workmanship that went into each float entry and learn more about the float process from Tournament volunteers on hand.
