This year's annual event will include a celebration of Smokey Bear's August 9th birthday with a Smokey Bear appearance, cake, and fire prevention material handouts.

Event goers will enjoy a visit from Smokey Bear, birthday cake, ice cream, games, crafts, Smokey cache, and demonstrations with fire fighting equipment led by the Georgia Forestry Commission.

On Saturday, August 17th at the Perry Buckarama, the USDA Forest Service will staff a booth with Smokey Bear and wildfire prevention materials to celebrate Smokey's 75th birthday.
